Collection: Harnesses
Dogs originally ran in harnesses based on those used by long-distance husky teams. However, with the popularity of canicross and other dog-related sports, a number of different harnesses are now available - allowing you to find a good fit for whatever size and breed of dog you are running.
Although finding the right harness does often involve some trial and error there are some guidelines to help you narrow down the choice of style. Take a look at how your dog runs with no harness on. Does he bend his back (like a greyhound) or run with a flat back (like a husky)? Can he run in a straight line? Will he consistently pull in front of you, or will he drop back sometimes and maybe try and wiggle out of his harness?
Different harnesses work best for different running styles - take a look at our notes alongside each style to see what will work best for your team.
